One of the most resilient and adaptable structures in nature would be that of the human brain. All of our perceptions, feelings, emotions, and behaviors are because of this fantastic organ. We all have neurons in our mind, and they allow us to express our thoughts and feelings openly. Indeed, the entire reason I can put pen to paper at this present moment is because of the amazing functions of the human brain. Additionally, the most mind-boggling fact of all would have to be how our neurons react merely in analyzing how our brains function in of itself! See more information about Neurocore at Linkedin.com.
In recent years there have been many advances in EEG technology that have led scientists to a better understanding of how human beings accomplish brain function. Neurocore is a company that has been using brain research to develop new approaches to treating disorders such as depression, anxiety, ASD and ADHD. Some of the highlights of this brain research would include the work of Italian scientists Luigi Galvani and Alessandro Volta. Galvani conducted an experiment where he attached frog legs to his fence during a lightning storm. He noted how the frog legs would contract when the lightning struck, and he attributed this to “animal electricity.” Volta took this research a step further, hypothesizing that the contractions were due to electrical properties in the brain. He could not thoroughly prove his hypothesis until 1800.
Hans Berger took this research a step further over a century later. He would be known as the first scientist to conduct EEG testing using his son Klaus as a guinea pig. He published his findings in 1929. Berger was the one many scientists considered to be responsible for the birth of neurotherapy. This discipline is now able to treat major depressive disorder by training the patient’s brain to overcome the symptoms of the depression. Moreover, neurotherapy has shown promise in uncovering the root causes of ADHD in children.
At the forefront of all of this is the Neurocore company. Founded in 2004, they are dedicated to improving the lives of all individuals with their brain research in eight locations throughout the state of Florida and Michigan. Learn more about Neurocore at Crunchbase.
