Vijay Eswaran the man behind QI group of companies

Born in Penang on 7 October 1960 Vijay Eswaran who credits his father for instilling a sense of service before self-continues to be a businessman of repute who was ranked by Forbes magazine as one of the 50 richest people in Malaysia.

He is a graduate of the London school of economics as well as various other qualifications which include an MBA from the Southern Illinois University. Vijay Eswaran is the founder of the current chairman of the QI Group of Companies which he founded around the year 1998 after his official return to Malaysia.

Initially started as a multilevel marketing network the company diversified and expanded to over 20 other countries creating returns of about seven hundred and fifty million dollars last year alone.

A new subsidiary of his company known as Green venture capital is undertaking a commercial and residential development worth around 1.2 billon on completion in Bandar Meru Raya.

Vijay Eswaran is involved in a lot of philanthropic activities both in his home country Malaysia through his charity Vijayaratnam Foundation he has been able to initiate mentor ship programs and community outreach activities. Charitable activities in other countries are initiated through the CSR branch of the QI group know as RYTHM Foundation.

Vijay Eswaran is also a speaker and author with among his most notable speaking engagements being at the World Economic Forum. As a published author he has written four books and a collection of his photography works in a book titled On the Wings of Thought.

He is also a recipient of various awards that include New Global Indian (NGI) award for philanthropy and business excellence,2013 Malaysian CEO of the year and the Lifetime Regional Philanthropy award personally presented to him by Abdullah Ahmad Badawi the former Malaysian Prime Minister.

Vijay Eswaran believes in consultation when coming up with new ideas and when implementing the same. He is excited by the disruption trend in business as it has been one of the key pillars in the continued growth of the QI group of companies.
